I created The Pageant Playbook out of pure frustration. I know probably not the most glamorous thing to admit but it’s true. I had just lost for what felt like the “millionth time” in another “so close” scenario. And I was not happy with God for putting me through this AGAIN.
However God is so good and gracious that as we worked through my emotions He reminded me of what truly matters in Pageantry: The personal growth, development and impact that comes in the preparation and the journey, not the outcome. Kind of hard to argue with that.
So, it got me thinking: if I could lose sight of what matters in Pageantry, how can I help other Pageant Queens stay true to who they are, prepare for competition and find success in Pageantry the right way?
This began many long nights with my coffee mug, computer and fuzzy slippers, which eventually resulted in The Pageant Playbook: A Pageant Queen’s Guide to Success; focused on the Me vs Me Mentality and becoming the Queens we are called to be.
Will you win every CROWN because you have The Pageant Playbook? No. But you WILL win every Pageant because you became a better version of yourself before you even stepped on that stage. And when you are called to your crown, your Playbook will be the proof that you were already prepared for the job.
